Data Encryption
We use the highest level of encryption - 128 bit SSL encryption. The secure hypertext transfer protocol (HTTPS) is a communications protocol designed to transfer encrypted information between computers over the World Wide Web. HTTPS is http using a Secure Socket Layer (SSL). A secure socket layer is an encryption protocol invoked on a Web server that uses HTTPS.

Data Backup and Delivery
Our standard procedure includes back up of your data every 15 minutes. We also conduct a full system wide back up daily and store the data in a separate, fire-safe facility. We also perform frequent hardware and software upgrades, providing you with the highest possible levels of availability, performance, and disaster recovery. All networking components, SSL accelerators, load balancers, Web servers, and application servers are configured in a redundant configuration. All customer data is stored on a primary database server that is clustered with a backup database server for redundancy. All customer data is stored on disk storage that is mirrored across different storage cabinets and controllers. All customer data, up to the last committed transaction, is automatic.

Dual Servers
We focus on delivering efficient service and hence use two servers to host our application. So that in an unlikely event of a server breakdown at one end of the world you will be directed to the other server safeguarding against any loss of your data and also of your valuable time.

Administration Security
We allow you to define different levels of access for your employees. This enables you to protect confidential information and still enjoy the benefits of a centralized database.

Privacy
In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 we pledge to keep your entire data safe and secure. Therefore, we've adopted strict guidelines and practices to ensure that your confidential personal and/or business information remains secure.

Physical security
Our servers are hosted in the UK in Canary Wharf and Square Mile in a structure that has over 10 million pounds investment.

Infrastructure Defense
The network infrastructure is protected by multiple firewalls and monitored by intrusion systems.

User Authentication.
Users access OfficeSpark only with a valid username and password combination, which is encrypted via SSL while in transmission. Users are advised to choose strong passwords and we highly recommend the change of password frequently. An encrypted session ID cookie is used to uniquely identify each user. For added security, the session key is automatically scrambled and re-established in the background at regular intervals.

Application Security
OfficeSpark is built over a robust security model which prevents one customer from accessing information of other customers. Under no circumstances can a customer access some other customer's data. This security model is reapplied with every request and enforced for the entire duration of a user session.

Internal Systems Security
Inside of the perimeter firewalls, systems are safeguarded by network address translation, port redirection, IP masquerading, non-routable IP addressing schemes, and more. Exact details of these features are proprietary.

Operating System Security

OfficeSpark enforces tight operating system-level security by using a minimal number of access points to all production servers. We protect all operating system accounts with strong passwords, and production servers do not share a master password database. All operating systems are maintained at each vendor's recommended patch levels for security and are hardened by disabling and/or removing any unnecessary users, protocols and processes.

Database Security

Whenever possible, database access is controlled at the operating system and database connection level for additional security. Access to production databases is limited to a number of points and production databases do not share a master password database.

Server Management Security

All data entered into OfficeSpark by a customer is owned by that customer. OfficeSpark employees do not have direct access to the OfficeSpark production equipment, except where necessary for system management, maintenance, monitoring and backups.
